Google pays tribute to Amrish Puri

Remembering Amrish Puri; today would have been his 87th birthday. An iconic actor, Bollywood’s ultimate villain, Amrish Puri is dearly missed and loved by all, all the same even today. There are lots of memorable characters portrayed by him; to name a few, Mogambo in Mr. India, Chaudhry Baldev Singh (Simran’s dad) in DDLJ, Kishorilal in Pardes, Dara in Diljale and many more. While in some he was atrociously villain, in some he portrayed heart-meltingly characters.

The legendary actor is indeed always in our memories. The search engine google paid tribute to the late actor with a special google doodle.
Here’s what the Google India tweeted:

Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor too shared a picture of himself with Amrish Puri from the sets of their 1997 film Virasat in his tweeter account. He wrote:
“Remembering the legend #AmrishPuri saab on his birth anniversary. Had the honor of working with him in so many movies like Mr. India, Nayak, Ram Lakhan, Virasat, Mari Jung to name a few. These films would not have been the same without him. Always in our memories.”

While Amrish Puri left his mark in Bollywood, he is known to international audiences and especially for playing Mola Ram in Steven Spielberg’s Holly wood film Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984). 

On his 87th birth anniversary, we pay our tribute and gratitude to the Legend Amrish Puri.
