Six ways to make your life happier


1. What they think about you is none of your business.
Stop caring about what other people think about you. Really, it’s none of your business. Because what they think is totally their thought process, good or bad. You keep doing what you need to do and always, always focus on your life and your dreams.

2. Make yourself your top priority

The most important thing you can do for yourself is to make you a top priority in your life. It is foolish to think you can take care of others without taking care of yourself. Don’t keep pushing your needs aside. You are never happy that way neither are the people in your life who you care for and who cares for you. It’s not about abandoning everyone or being selfish. It’s about when you take care of yourself; you are being kind to you and bringing the best in you for yourself and people around you.  


3. Stop Comparing
You have no idea what the other person is going through or went through. There’s no point in comparing yourself with others. You are neither less nor more than what they are. You are just unique in your own ways and so is your life. And so are every other people in the world. Everyone’s story is different. Let the thought, of thinking others are doing better than you, go away. You have no idea how they reached where they reached and what they are still going through. You just focus on yourself and believe in yourself. It’s all about timing and everyone has their own day. You will shine bright when your time comes. Never drag yourself down by the negative thoughts and always pull yourself up with positivity.

4. Quality friend over Quantity

You might have heard it so many times and didn’t believe it. Until you get or got a sharp pang by life (people), you won’t or didn’t realize what it means or meant. You may have a huge number of friend circles but rarely does it happen that every friend of yours genuinely treats you like a friend.    It’s a good thing to socialize but you need to draw a line. Don’t give your precious time to just anyone, don’t waste it on people who don’t even slightly care for you. While treasure those who are always there for you no matter what, that we call true friends. Less is always more.

5. Always learn to say no more often!
You have all the rights in the world to say no when you need and want to. And you should never feel guilty about it. Because it’s a healthy thing to do for yourself. People are going to understand and even if they don’t, it doesn’t matter for you know best what you should do and shouldn’t. More importantly, always, always say not to what drains your energy and time. Because not everyone deserves your yes.

6. Own your shit!
People have slightly different notion about this sentence but eventually, it means one thing. Take responsibility for your own actions. Be done with blaming, hiding and try justifying your wrong actions. No one is perfect. When you make mistakes, gracefully accept it. Say sorry when you need to. There’s no harm in doing that. When you have reasons, give reasons but don’t make excuses.  It’s as easy as that.
Yet most people don’t want to do that mostly because of their ego. Keep your ego aside and do the right thing. It’s cool and it feels good.
